Cell Phone Tester - JOB SUMMARY

Incumbents will perform functional testing on electronic devices, primarily smart phones. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business experiencing tremendous growth! This position is NOT temporary or seasonal - It is a regular, full-time opportunity based in Clifton, NJ.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
This is a production position which requires attention to detail and an ability to work at a consistent and even pace. The employee will follow a checklist and perform tests to determine the functionality of the devices. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in production environment with the ability to meet production goals while adhering to quality standards.
This position performs basic functional testing on mobile devices - checking devices for damages and non-conformance to specified guidelines. Testing will involve checking alarm, ringer, camera, volume, screen brightness, etc., following checklist provided. No in-depth technical knowledge required however, successful candidates should be comfortable handling mobile device and have basic knowledge of downloading applications and basic troubleshooting on mobile devices.
Tests all makes and models of incoming cell phones.
Responsible for test and classification of phones by using test software and creating appropriate labels
Ability to classify electronic devices based on functional test results, this includes non-conforming electronic devices: Tests consist of checking volume, buttons, speakers, alarms, screen brightness, etc.
Device tests are performed externally without the need to be opened (no in-depth technical experience required)
Package processed electronic devices
Follow defined schedule and work assignment
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Must have basic PC /tablet skills to document all work conducted in accordance with the department policies in a timely and precise manner
Must have good visual acuity to properly test & grade cell phones in accordance with department polices
Must be able to read and write in basic English to document testing procedures
Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
Attention to detail
a) General
Able to work specified schedule, 8am to 5pm and overtime as required
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent (1) one year of production/QC/Device Testing
b) Work Conditions and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:
Walk or stand
Repetitive use of hands/fingers/wrist to handle electronic devices or tools
Reach with hands or arms, stand, bend, crouch, lift
Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Interest/hobby in electronic and/or wireless device repair a plus!
Able to work specified schedule; 8am to 5pm and overtime as required
1 year of production/QC/Device Testing, highly desirable
